A Message from Kelly Costello, CEO and Founder of Puppy Cake

I love dogs and I have a passion for manufacturing. I personally oversea all of the manufacturing of our Puppy Cake products to ensure safety and quality with every product. We only make products that are good enough for us to eat. I taste test all of our treats for quality and safety.
My dogs are my family and I make sure that every treat that comes out
of our factory brings a smile to customers faces and wagging tails to
their fur babies.
In 2007, I was looking at old cake mix advertisements for a client of mine. I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if they made that for dogs?" That was my light bulb moment. I realized that dog owners across the globe wanted to treat their dogs like family and give them safe and healthy cakes.
I started with a few flavors and worked out of my kitchen in a tiny 1 bedroom apartment in Bellevue.
Little by little, Puppy Cake grew and we began launching a whole line of treats. Our best sellers are the cake mixes and ice cream mixes.
Since 2013, all of our products are made in our factory in a small town called Evans City that is full of hardworking people who put there hearts into making great dog treats.

In 2017, Puppy Cake purchased the Evans City Factory out of which we operate. It was a big milestone for us and we are very proud of the modern factory that we have created.
Thank you for your support as this company has grown from loyal customers and retail partners who have helped grow our brand. Puppy Cake wholesales to independent pet stores only. Visit your local "mom and pop" pet store in town and see why we love working with them.

We look forward to what the next decade has in store for Puppy Cake!

Thank you,

Kelly Costello

CEO and Founder

We first want to make sure every customer, from consumer to retailer, has a great experience. We stand behind our product 100% and will work to ensure satisfaction with every transaction. Our company wants to further the well being of canines throughout the US by donating a portion of our profits to animal rescue organizations.

History

The idea for Puppy Cake came when Kelly Costello, owner and founder of Puppy Cake, was looking at a client’s old cake mix advertisements. As she was looking at the cake mix, she said to herself, “Wouldn’t that be great if they made this for dogs? People love their dogs!” After lots of research and many recipes, Puppy Cake was created! To match the traditional chocolate cake, Puppy Cake Carob Cake Mix was created and to match the traditional yellow cake, Puppy Cake Banana Cake Mix was created. In November 2007, the product launched and quickly became the #1 selling cake mix for dogs in the US.
